The disclaimer: Don't expect mainstream taste. You may never have heard of what/whomever I'm waxing poetic about this week. My taste runs toward female singer-songwriters and alternative rock, so if that's not your cup of tea, take my recommendations with a grain of salt. (Don't put it in the tea, though. That would be almost as icky as a badly mixed metaphor.)

I went to an awesome show featuring Jessica Weiser and Heidi Howe, and their albums, combined with some Sarah Slean, is all I've been listening to lately.
